Agentes del Servicio de Inmigraci\u00f3n y Control de Aduanas (ICE) intentaron detener a un hombre en Long Beach, California, el s\u00e1bado 17 de octubre, y el hombre termin\u00f3 con un brazo fracturado, seg\u00fan reportes de medios y de testigos. El lunes 19 de octubre, el representante federal Robert Garc\u00eda pidi\u00f3 una investigaci\u00f3n. Hasta la publicaci\u00f3n de esta nota, ni ICE ni el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS) hab\u00edan explicado p\u00fablicamente el motivo de la detenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Testigos citados por medios locales dicen que el hecho ocurri\u00f3 un s\u00e1bado en un vecindario de Long Beach. Un video divulgado muestra a agentes derribando a un hombre; en el audio se le escucha gritar que tiene el brazo roto. Seg\u00fan esos reportes, el hombre fue liberado y atendido en un hospital local, y su familia dice que no hablar\u00e1 con la prensa.<\/p>\n

Varios medios en espa\u00f1ol lo describen como ciudadano estadounidense. Esa condici\u00f3n fue se\u00f1alada por defensores del hombre y no ha sido confirmada por fuentes oficiales. Tampoco hay confirmaci\u00f3n oficial de la causa de la fractura, de lo que ocurri\u00f3 antes del derribo ni de la hora y el lugar exactos: los reportes difieren en esos detalles.<\/p>\n

La organizaci\u00f3n StopICE.net public\u00f3, seg\u00fan los medios, que los agentes bloquearon una calle con veh\u00edculos y que m\u00e1s de una docena de activistas se acerc\u00f3 despu\u00e9s a confrontarlos. Reacciones<\/h2>\n

El representante Robert Garc\u00eda pidi\u00f3 una investigaci\u00f3n en una conferencia de prensa el lunes. El fiscal federal Bill Essayli lo critic\u00f3 en redes y sostuvo que incidentes as\u00ed ser\u00edan menos comunes si las personas buscadas obedecieran \u00f3rdenes legales. Son posturas de funcionarios, no hallazgos de una investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

La Oficina de Derechos Civiles y Libertades Civiles (CRCL) de DHS recibe quejas<\/a> cuando alguien cree que sus derechos, o los de otra persona, fueron violados por DHS.
